Collins Sichenje completes move to Sweden top flight side AIK.

The former AFC Leopards midfielder signed for AIK on April 1st but he didn't manage to link up with the team due to work permits.

Harambee stars midfielder Collins Sichenje on Wednesday completed a move to Sweden top club AIK after penning down a five year contract with the club last month.

The 22 year old player was yet to link up with AIK since signing with them in April as he was processing his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and a work permit to work in Sweden. Sichenje joins Harambee Stars duo of defender Erick Marcelo Ouma and striker Henry Meja who also ply trade with the club.

Sichenje once tried out with Greece giants PAOK FC in 2021 summer but the deal to join the team didn’t materialize and he was forced to rejoin AFC Leopards in the FKF Premier League 2021/22 midseason window where he featured six times in his second spell at the den when the offer to join AIK came calling courtesy of Atoto Sports Agency.

Collins Sichenje is an alumnus of the famous Kakamega School, a giant school in Kenya who’s prowess has been outstanding in producing renowned football talents in Kenya. He rose up to Kenyan Premier League in 2019 after Ingwe recruited him from Green Commandos SC, a third tier club.

He made his debut with the Kenya national men’s senior team in March 6th 2021 in a friendly match against South Sudan at Nyayo national stadium in Nairobi.
