In a Facebook post, Arocho expressed gratitude to the management of Royal Media Services for the opportunity to serve.

He also thanked Isaac Swila, the Head of RMS Sports Centre, for the unforgettable experiences they enjoyed at work.

“It’s been four years of fantastic moments on Citizen TV’s Sporty Monday Show! As I sign off, I’d like to thank the management of Royal Media Services for the opportunity to serve. I also like to thank my fellow panelists, Mukami Wambora, Steve Shitera, and Zitah Jimoi. Special thanks to Isaac Swila, Head of RMS Sports Centre, for the wonderful moments at work. “I have truly enjoyed every moment of my time here,” Arocho wrote.

A dramatic change occurred behind the scenes, resulting in Arocho’s departure. His recent shift to TV 47 set off a cascade of events.

Arocho, who had previously worked for Radio Jambo, joined TV 47 in 2023. However, this change has repercussions for his position at Citizen Television.

According to a source, Arocho was advised that continuing to be a panelist on Citizen TV while linked with TV 47, a direct competitor, could lead to troubles.

According to sources, the media company responded by raising Arocho’s salary, allowing him to focus entirely on his new responsibilities at TV 47.

“Arocho was informed by TV 47 that Citizen TV is a competitor, and there is a conflict of interest. So he had to resign from his work. His compensation was increased to allow him to focus on his work at TV 47,” the source alleged.
