Boni Khalwale’s Bull Gored Caretaker To Death in Kakamega

In a new twist of events, Kizito Moi Amukeni has not been killed by Inasio as claimed by Boni Khalwale, Critics now says

  • Kizito Moi was killed at Boni Khalwale homes in Kakamega by a Bullfighter; Inasio. The incident happened on Monday morning.
  • Kizito Moi has been working as caretaker of the Khalwale’s farm taking care of his bulls.
  • After the death of Kizito, Boni led the community in killing the bull according to Luhya traditions.
  • A day after the event, a new twist of information emerged challenging the information provided by the Boni Khalwale.

According to the Luhya community, a bull that kills a person should not be allowed to live a day longer as this is the only way to cleanse the bull’s owner from the blood of the killed clan.

In addition, the owner needs to be the one who kills the bull before allowing the community to carry meat and cook at their homes.

The Bull’s meat cannot be eaten by the family of the owner.

Some of the other rules other than a case where the bull kills someone include;

  • The bull owner is not supposed to sleep with the wife for 2 weeks before the bullfight competition
  • The owner is the one leading the bull to the competition.
  • When a bull kills someone, it must be killed by the sword and eaten by the community before the burial of the deceased person.

According to Boni Khalwale, the bull killed the caretaker at his barn in the middle of the night.

However, to one of the Critics of Boni Khalwale, Cleophas Shimanyula alias Toto, Kizito might have been killed and Inasio was a cover-up story.

He asks the director of Investigations (DCI) to uncover what could have caused the death of Kizito Moi.

While this is happening various activists have raised questions touching on regulations of Bull-fighting competition.
