At 28 years old, He began his journey into the tomato business after finishing his secondary school education initially by working for someone in a market in Molo Nakuru. He progressed to owning and developing his business empire. From the small supply of tomatoes, has a starter.
Following the death of his parents, who were funding his studies, he was forced to drop out of Kabarak University in his first year. He had to go the hard way to start a tomato business with the little money he had. According to him, he initially became interested in this business back while in high school as an agriculture student.

Kevin Gakuru intends to grow his company in the future. His goal is to lease extra land and export tomatoes internationally.
