UDA Deputy chairman joins Azimio camp.
A big blow has caught the Kenya Kwanza team as the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) deputy chairman Kipruto Arap Kirwa joined the Azimio La Umoja Coalition.
Kirwa made the announcement of resignation from the deputy president William Ruto’s party, UDA, during an Azimio La Umoja rally in Sirisia sub county, Bungoma county on Sunday.
The former Cherengany Member of parliament cited the selection of Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua as the running mate to William Ruto as the major factor for his exit.
“Two weeks ago,my side appointed the person who was going to be the running mate of my brother.That was the clearest indication that their is no democracy.”said Kirwa.
Kirwa came in the Azimio rally accompanied by Raila Odinga’s running mate Martha Karua.Hon Karua described Kirwa as a dedicated and hard-working leader.
“I know my brother Kipruto Kirwa as a hard-working person.We were together in Kibaki’s government and he was in charge of Agriculture.
