Six in custody after heckling Karua’s rally.

Six people have been arrested and are currently in police custody over last week’s heckling incident during the Azimio La Umoja coalition presidential running mate Hon.Martha Karua in Kirinyaga County.

According to the reports from Kirinyaga central deputy county commissioner Daniel Ndege is that last week a group of youths from Kirinyaga attacked Martha Karua’s convoy by throwing stones around Kagumo and Kerugoya areas.

“When Karua was returning home last week,some people tried to disrupt law and order throwing stones at her motorcade procession in Kagumo and Kerugoya.As we are talking there are six boys who have been arrested and arraigned in court for disrupting peace and causing hooliganism.” Ndege said.

The Deputy county commissioner also urged residents and parents to guide their children so that they are not used by politicians to promote divisive politics.

“I am urging parents to inform their children that government cannot be dared.Let the chaotic incident incident witnessed be the first and the last.Whoever will try doing so will face the full wrath of the law.” he stated.
