Raila’s Allies Panic as Ruto Seeks to Put an End to the Bad Deeds that Flourished during Uhuru’s Presidency

Azimio legislators have advised the Deputy President not to make proposals that might create instability.

President Uhuru's allies angered by Raila's calls for ODM six-piece voting

The President’s allies and Azimio lawmakers have urged the Deputy President against making recommendations that may destabilize the country.

Revenge and Witch-hunt

Jeremiah Kioni, secretary general of the Jubilee Party, termed the plan as “a clear expression of a desire to topple the present Constitution.”

“This is already a hint of how disastrous a Ruto administration may be for this country.” They have a vengeful goal. Since they’ve been talking about witch-hunting, this is a clear example of witch-hunting, as stated in the manifesto,” Mr Kioni added.

“We want individuals who have stolen public monies to face consequences.” But we don’t want to start establishing new organizations that may target certain people.”

Big Families’ Selfishness

Mr Ruto stated in the Kenya Kwanza manifesto, which was released on Thursday night, that if Kenya Kwanza is elected next month, they will organize an investigation into government corruption as well as a commission on unlawful killings and violations of human rights.

Both might imply going after the President and the way he conducted the country. He also promised to establish eight tribunals, task forces, and review committees to overturn Mr Kenyatta’s policies.

Mr Ruto vows to conduct “within 30 days, a quasi-judicial public investigation to identify the level of corruption and power abuse in the nation and give suggestions” under the ‘Ending State Capture’ sub-topic.

“Our economy has been choked by state capture.” The issue is that over the previous decade, the President and his associates have implemented policies and made decisions that have benefited his business. “Everything has been orchestrated to benefit the private enterprises of people in power, just like the Guptas in South Africa,” claims Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.

Extrajudicial Killings

The government of President Kenyatta has been accused of multiple incidences of extrajudicial killings, which have been blamed on security agents.

According to Haki Africa, a local human rights organization, 63 persons will disappear in 2021, up from 18 in 2020.

A special tribunal, similar to the one envisaged by Dr Ruto in his campaign, would also attempt to expose some dirt on Mr Kenyatta’s security forces.
