“This Country belongs to Gen Z”,says Darren Hart,A Youth Advocate

Earlier today, Darren Hart, from Tugutuke movement, the Director of Clean up Kenya and the CEO of Darren Hart Foundation joined the demonstrations in Nairobi CBD against the unrealistic 24/25 finance bill. He said that it’s crucial to stop avenues for political leaders to misuse public funds, which results in poor services for citizens. The time comes in the life of any nation when there remain only two choices – submit or fight. That time has now come to Kenya. We shall not submit and we have no choice but to hit back by all means in our power in defence of our people, our future, and our freedom. It is a fact that post the 1963 democratic dispensation, our country is still characterised by lack of development and advancement economically, politically, socially and otherwise — from the lens of an African native.

He also added that the youths of this country have got the power and they must not be cowards, they must stand for the truth and if they don’t the next generation will blame them. “As Gen Z, this country belongs to us and we are going to shape it at all costs. We’re committed to our rights and won’t stop until our voices are heard. We demand youth empowerment, not oppression under an impunity dictatorship regime” Darren Hart stated.
