Sauti sol band comprises four members; Polycarp Atieno, Bien Aime Baraza, Savara Mudigi, and Willis Chimano. They have been together for more than a decade working as a group.

In the year 2005, Savara, Bien, and Chimamo came together and formed Sauti Sol before Polycarp the guitarist joined later.

Sauti Sol’s band is specialized in singing the Afro and Kapuka music Genres. Since the group was formed, they have released a total of over 30 tracks, including several albums. Their first track to take the airwaves was “Mwanzo, in 2009. They also have Collaboration with International artists; Shoo Madjozi, and India Arie among others.

The dedication and consistency they have put behind, have earned Sauti sol several awards in Africa.
Among them include; The MTV music award for Best African Act in 2014, and the MTV music award for Best Group in 2016. They also have a BET nomination.
