It cost the Azimio la Umoja leader roughly 1 billion Kenya shillings to build. The house has 77 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 30 people for a year and 50 people for one night.
The mansion was finished in 2015 and will be his home when he retires from politics. Even now, it appears to have been built yesterday. Many thanks to the Raila Amolo Odinga family there.
We have a statue of Kenya’s first Prime Minister outside the house. Jaramogi Oginga Odinga is his father. On the statue, it’s written “FREEDOM IS PRICE”
In the inner walls, Jaramogi is holding a traditional Luo fly whisk in his hand. Which his son Raila Amolo Odinga continues to practise up to date. Particularly during campaigns.
