Shujaa came out guns blazing in their Singapore Sevens Cup semi-final clash against Spain, showing intent right from kickoff. Star man Patrick Odongo dotted down within the first minute, with Nygel Amaitsa adding the conversion for a 7-0 lead.
Odongo wasn’t done—he crossed over again in the eighth minute to stretch the lead to 12-0 as Kenya headed into halftime on top.
Nervy Finish, But Shujaa Hold On
Spain clawed one back in the 13th minute, making for a tense final stretch. But Kenya remained composed, and after the final hooter, Jone Kubu calmly booted the ball into the stands to seal the victory and a place in the final.
