On Saturday afternoon, Manchester City’s forward Riyad Mahrez made history by breaking Didier Drogba’s record and becoming the African player with the most assists in Premier League history. Mahrez achieved this feat by registering his 56th top-flight assist in the 4-1 victory over Liverpool at the Etihad.
The game started with Liverpool taking the lead after a goal from Mohamed Salah, but City managed to equalize before the halftime break through Julian Alvarez.
