Millicent Omanga : How I made my  first million while selling bedsheets at the age of 19.

If you don’t understand how others make money ,don’t make blanket assumptions. We are not all gifted in the same way .That is why others pride themselves as being hustlers while others pride themselves in being aristrocrats .

In Kenya today ,there is a third world narrative doings round where when  someone make money through  sheer hardwork and consistency ,the dumbfounded ones would say it is due to power of Illuminati or the work of dark arts .

Did you know CAS Millicent Omanga made her first Million while at the age of 19 while selling bedsheets ?

The self proclaimed Mama Miradi said that she began her entrepreneurial path at the University of Nairobi and made her first million within a year. By  the age of 20 years she had bought a new car .She said she would use part of her school fees to do business as she makes profits .

“By 20 I bought a new car and I was still in the university. I would use a portion of my school fees to buy a few things in Eastleigh that I would later sell at a profit.

By exam time I had made profits and I would use that to clear my fees,” she said.

As if that was not enough ,Omanga said  she used to sell everything including bedsheets and she  was the largest supplier of bedsheets in the region at that time .

“I was selling everything including bedsheets. I am one of the biggest bedsheet suppliers in the country.” she added.

She said her first million came from supplying bedsheets to one of the hotels in Eldoret and she ordered more from abroad.

“I had capital (after making Sh1million) and I knew I would get a good car in Duba. I paid the deposit and got some more items.”

Omanga showed her unending love for football  and she likes attending football tournaments whenever she finds time .She said  due to her love for football ,she went to South Africa 2010 world cup and she will still attend the Qatar World later this year .

“I went to South Africa for the 2010 World Cup, Brazil in 2014 and Russia in 2018… and I will still go to Qatar in 2022.

“I also play football…but as a goalkeeper,” she said jokingly .

As you have read the story of Millicent Omanga ,it is an encouragement to anyone doing his or her hustle outside there . Everything is possible with hardwork and endurance.
