Jeff Mwathi’s mother gives up on finding justice

It is heartbreaking to witness Jeff Mwaithi’s mother abandoning all hope of ever obtaining justice for her son, who reportedly died after falling from the 12th floor of an apartment in February 2023.

In an interview with Nairobi News, Anne Wacuka Mwathi expressed her frustration with the slow progress of justice in her son’s case. Her son’s life ended after a night of partying with Dj Fatxo and his group. She recounted her five-hour encounter with detectives probing the mysterious circumstances surrounding her son’s death.

Wacuka claims that the investigators informed her that the evidence was insufficient to prove that her son had been killed. She was also told that Jeff was supposedly intoxicated when he passed away. Wacuka was perplexed as to how her son had reached the apartment’s 12th floor while intoxicated.

Despite their lengthy discussion, the grieving Wacuka was left wondering whether her son would ever receive justice:

“I do not agree with the findings of the inquest into the death of Jeff Mwathi. I believe that justice must prevail and all parties involved must be held accountable for their actions,”
