The future of Harry Kane at Tottenham Hotspur has been the subject of intense speculation in recent times, with the star striker reportedly considering a move away from the club following another trophyless season.

However, according to Football Insider, Kane could be persuaded to stay if Tottenham were to reappoint Mauricio Pochettino as their manager.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, with manager Erik ten Hag earmarking him as a prime target. Meanwhile, the current Spurs boss Antonio Conte’s future hangs in the balance after a lacklustre season and public criticism of his players. Although the Italian has not yet been sacked, it is widely expected that he will leave the club at the end of the season at the latest.

With Tottenham in discussions over who will succeed Conte, Pochettino has emerged as a frontrunner for the role. The Argentine previously enjoyed a successful spell in charge of Spurs, guiding the team to the Champions League final in 2019 before leaving for Paris Saint-Germain.

If Pochettino were to return to North London, it could be a decisive factor in Kane’s decision to stay at the club. The two enjoyed a strong working relationship during their time together at Tottenham, and Kane has previously spoken highly of his former boss.

While there is no guarantee that Pochettino will return to Spurs, the prospect of a reunion with Kane could be too good for the Tottenham hierarchy to pass up as they look to secure the long-term future of their star striker.
