Kennedy Odhiambo is a renowned Kenyan comedian using the stage name Crazy Kennar. Kennar is a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology student studying a bachelor of actuarial science. In his early life, Kennar studied at Sacred Heart primary school in Nairobi Baba Dogo before joining Ringa Boys Secondary School where he sat for his KCSE exams.
Kennar rose to fame because of his short funny videos which he creates and shares through his social media accounts. He joined YouTube on 24th July 2017 and since then he has attracted a fanbase of 508,000 subscribers, this brings him to the third comedian with the highest number of YouTube followers in Kenya behind Churchill who is the first with over a million subscribers, and Henry Desagu who has 648,000 subscribers. Apart from being the third highest comedian in Kenya, Kennar is number 38 in the list of Kenyans with the highest number of youtube followers. Since he joined YouTube in 2017, Kennar has gathered 124,682,478 views, making him one of the leading Kenyans on that platform.
What many of his curious fans and upcoming YouTubers are dying to know is the amount of money he makes on YouTube every month. A spot checks into Kennar’s google AdSense account reveals that the comedian has made an average of 4.4k dollars a month since the beginning of this year, this is 507,980.00 Kenyan Shilling. he achieves this by averaging 4,708,503 views every month since the beginning of this year. If he continues in this way, kennar will bag a whooping 6.09M Kenyan shillings by the end of this year.
It is not clear how they share the amount among the four actors and the behind the scene crew that always assist him in making the videos but even after the expenses, Kennar walks home with around one million shillings from YouTube every year. Apart from YouTube, Kennar also shares his content on other social media accounts like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok which are also monetized. The actor owns an eatery around Juja known as Instant delicacies which is also a source of income for him. He recently launched an app where one can search for jobs and employers can search for potential employees, this also brings him more revenue. The other source of revenue for the young comedian is the numerous endorsement deals the comedian has signed with several brands and the live performances he always attends.
