Former AFC Leopards player and Kenyan football legend, JJ Masiga, has praised the club for its passionate supporters and rich history.

Masiga, who played for AFC Leopards in the 1970s and 80s, said that the club remains one of the best supported football teams in the country.

Masiga posted: “AFC Leopards is a great club with a proud history and a passionate fan base. I am still proud to have played for this team and to have been a part of its rich tradition.”

Masiga is a former Kenyan footballer who played as a striker for AFC Leopards and the Kenyan national team. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers to have ever played in Kenya and is considered a legend of the sport.

Masiga’s football career spanned over a decade, during which he played for several top clubs in Kenya, including AFC Leopards, where he is most famously associated. He was a key member of the AFC Leopards team that won the Kenyan Premier League in 1980 and 1981 and was also instrumental in helping the team reach the final of the Africa Cup Winners’ Cup in 1982.

In addition to his success at the club level, Masiga also enjoyed a distinguished international career, representing Kenya in numerous competitions, including the Africa Cup of Nations. He scored a total of 17 goals for the Kenyan national team, making him one of the team’s top scorers of all time.
