Former Texas Spurs Fc, Tusker, Sofapaka, Nakumatt and Muhoroni Youth Fc player doing great work with community service after retiring at an early age.
The midfielder, Tom Adwar had joined Texas Spurs FC , a lower division side in the United States but then retired early last year, 2021.
Adwar started a community project with the goal to empower girls in a move to give back to the community. And as they say, charity begins at home, he first initiated the empower girl child project in Migori County.
He has worked with Coach Dino Haji in empowering the Youth in Kibera under a project Kibera Angels in the distribution of sanitary towels, balls and playing kits to the children. It is here that his passion within the community grew and he realized he could do more.
He therefore intends to start a long term project in collaboration with his friends this year to see to it that the girls in his community have reasons to smile.
Adwar has set upon himself a number of goals and objectives which he is working upon. “I want to give back to the society and ensure that we attain our goals ,” he said.
