Fire Destroys Dormitories at Matungulu Boys High School, Leaving Students Injured

A fire swept through three dormitories at Matungulu Boys High School in Kangundo Sub-county during the early hours, leaving the school community in shock. The origin of the blaze is yet to be determined.

The inferno destroyed mattresses, blankets, school uniforms, and other personal belongings of the students. The damage has resulted in significant losses for the school and families.

At least 15 students were injured in the incident. Medics from Kangundo Level 4 Hospital quickly responded, treating ten students on site. Five others, who sustained more serious injuries, were transferred to Kangundo Hospital for specialised care.

Authorities have launched inquiries to determine the cause of the fire. Emergency teams remain on site as recovery and safety measures continue to prevent further incidents.
