Forex trader Raymond Omosa, popularly known as Kenyan Prince, has addressed widespread criticism following a controversial remark about his partner, Stephanie Ngunjiri. The uproar began when Omosa referred to Stephanie using the slang term Kinmbe*—a colloquial and explicit reference to female genitalia—while bidding her farewell.
The term sparked outrage on social media, with many labeling his language disrespectful and inappropriate. In response, Omosa defended his choice of words, explaining that he shares a lighthearted and playful dynamic with Stephanie.
“People are bitter that this guy is disrespectful. It is only your partner that you can joke with anyhowly, who do you want me to joke with or call names around?” Omosa remarked. “For those who feel pissed, take my sincere apology. For those who feel it was a mere name to call my partner, thank you for understanding.”
He also dismissed the criticism as stemming from others’ unhappy relationships, suggesting that his critics should focus on their own lives.
“Y’all in bitter, toxic, and worse relationships but focusing on other people’s who are even doing better. In the meantime, kila mtu afocus na yake,” he added.
While Omosa’s remarks drew support from some who viewed them as harmless banter within a private relationship, a section of Kenyan women took issue with his language. Critics argued that such terms, even in a joking context, undermine mutual respect in a partnership.
