Residents of Kibera were shocked on Wednesday morning after it emerged that two middle-aged men after successfully stealing 5 goats during the Tuesday protests from one of the old granny in the locality committed suicide in the wake of Wednesday Morning, leaving after returning the goats to the owner.
This incident has left many wondering what might have led to Kimani and Mbugua’s death. However, it later emerged that the owner of the goats, Mrs. Margaret Nyamboke a widow, had left for Kisii with his family to evade the protests. Kimani and Mbugua suspected that the house of the old 89-year-old grandmother was not occupied, and after checking on the doors and windows they sneaked in in broad daylight, stealing the goats.
