- The controversial founder of Neno Evangelism, James Maina Ng’ang’a, has sparked controversy once more with his recent claim that cosmetics are “devilish.”
During a sermon, Ng’ang’a depicted a striking image of women who were afraid of rain because they thought it would destroy their makeup. She implied that these kinds of cosmetic enhancements were a type of deception that the devil encouraged.
“You will all flee if any of these women undress. They will be bending when it rains, fearing that their makeup may run off. Their faces are full of holes and covered with layers of muck. We call it makeup. The devil wants you to be makeup-wearing because he does not want you to stay unique.”
Previous remarks made by Ng’ang’a have also drawn notice due to how polarizing they were.
Different responses have been produced by Ng’ang’a’s previous strong warning to his wife, Loise Murugi, against going through his phone.
He was very explicit in his speech that his wife would have to be ready to take a serious beating if she ever touched his phone.
“Ukigusa simu yangu wewe mke wangu, ujipange na hio mambo. Usiniletee mambo ya ujinga. Wewe uko na simu yako, mimi nimeshika yako?” Ng’ang’a enquired.
He continued by saying that she should call the number and ask the person directly if she discovers a missed call.
He made it clear that he doesn’t interfere with other people’s phones and emphasized that living with someone does not put him in prison.

He added that he is not the kind of husband that infiltrates his wife’s privacy, thus he doesn’t look through his wife’s phone.
He claims that since she will inevitably get connected with other men if she wants to, he doesn’t see the need to look into every person on her phone.
