  • Musalia Mudavadi revealed Ryan Injendi Malulu has been appointed Trade Attache at the Kenyan Embassy in Pretoria.
  • The announcement was made during UDA’s campaign rally for David Ndakwa.
  • Ryan publicly read the official communication confirming his appointment.

Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi has confirmed that Ryan Injendi Malulu, son of the late Malulu Injendi, has secured a government position.
The announcement was made on Monday, November 24, while Mudavadi campaigned for UDA candidate David Ndakwa ahead of Thursday’s by-elections.

Mudavadi invited Ryan to the stage and handed him a phone containing the official notice.

“Pursuant to this communication, the ministry has proposed their appointment of Ryan Injendi Malulu for the position of Trade Attaché at the Kenyan Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa.”

Mudavadi told the crowd that Ryan’s posting is tied to Kenya’s business and economic interests abroad.

“So, did he study finance? Is his work related to economics and business? Now he is the one who will go to South Africa to update us on business matters there.
He will be the one bringing business opportunities from South Africa to Kenya.” Mudavadi

He added that Kenyans seeking business or work opportunities in South Africa should engage Ryan for guidance.

The new appointment comes weeks after Ryan publicly accused Mudavadi’s office of interfering with the UDA Party nominations in Malava.

Speaking on Sunday, September 21, Ryan claimed that officials from the Prime Cabinet Secretary’s office influenced the primaries.

“What is very surprising is that the people from the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, what were you doing in Malava, fighting a young man like me? Why didn’t you allow the people of Malava to conduct their election on their own?”

Ryan said he never saw President Ruto or Farouk Kibet attempting to influence the nomination process.

After the primaries, Ryan conceded defeat and congratulated David Ndakwa, who won the UDA ticket.
He also pledged to continue supporting the government and the President.

“I will give Ndakwa space to seek votes in Malava, and I will still stand with the government and stand with President Ruto… I will continue in that direction.” Ryan
