The announcement was made during KK’s memorial service on Monday, July 21, by Dennis Itumbi, the Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy Coordination.

While addressing mourners, Itumbi shared that the President’s contribution would directly reach the late comedian’s mother.

“President Ruto has contributed KSh1 million. I’ve been informed that the budget shortfall was about KSh1.2 million. With KSh1.5 million now collected, we’re covered,” Itumbi noted.

“I have all the funds with me, and I’ve asked to personally hand them over to his mother,” he added.
