Kenya Rugby Union and HACO Industries through their brand affiliate Amara for Men have unveiled a new partnership that will see the company become the official grooming partner for the Kenya national rugby 15s team “Simba’s” ahead of the World Rugby Qualifiers in July.
The partnership was first signed in 2024 whereby Amara supported Simba’s with grooming products worth Kshs 1,500,000/- during the Elgon Cup tournament in Kampala, Uganda and this year’s agreement will kickoff when Kenya plays UAE in a friendly match on the 24th of May in Nairobi; with this year’s package including a financial contribution to the team’s budget as well as supplying the products.
Kenya Rugby Union Chief Executive Officer Thomas Odundo expressed gratitude to HACO Industries and sent a rallying call to other partners to come on board and boost the course.
“The partnership is timely as it comes when Simba’s are preparing for the World Rugby Qualifiers and this aid will go in catering for the preparation costs and as KRU we urge other sponsors to join the program”, Odundo told KRU media.
