A Political Vehicle in the Works
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has confirmed he is preparing to roll out a new political party, which he says will be the platform to remove President William Ruto and his allies from leadership.
Speaking to residents in Ngong Town on Sunday, April 13, Gachagua said:
“We have built a new party that we’ll use to send Ruto and his people home. I’ll launch it officially in May. If I invite you, will you come?”
This announcement marks another bold step in Gachagua’s growing rebellion against his former ally, President Ruto.
National Reach, Full Participation
During a separate address in Kajiado County on March 27, Gachagua revealed that the party’s national chairperson will be picked from the region.
He made it clear that the party won’t just focus on the presidency but will field candidates across all elective seats—from MCA to President.
“We are setting up our party. In May, we will make it official. Our chairman will come from Kajiado, and we will have candidates in every seat—President, Governor, MP, Woman Rep, MCA—all of them,” he said.
Offices Across Kenya After Launch
In a previous statement back in February, the former second-in-command said the party is ready and waiting to be unveiled.
“Our political vehicle is ready. It’s in the showroom. We’re not revealing its colour or plate number just yet because we know our opponents are watching,” Gachagua hinted.
He added that offices will be opened countrywide after the official launch, welcoming all Kenyans to join the movement.
Mt. Kenya Breaks Away from Ruto
Gachagua also fired shots at President Ruto, saying the Mt. Kenya region has been betrayed.
“Ruto lied to us. He has embarrassed and sidelined our people. We will never support him again. No partnerships, no votes,” he declared.
His message adds fuel to the ongoing political realignment ahead of the 2027 General Elections, with Gachagua positioning himself as a key challenger to Ruto’s grip on power.
