Khalif Kairo, a Nairobi-based car dealer, is reaching out to Kenyans for financial support to help him raise the KSh 2 million needed to secure his bail. Kairo has been held in remand for the past week because he hasn’t been able to meet the court’s bail requirements.
To assist, comedian 2Mbili has provided a paybill number for those willing to contribute. In an Instagram video, 2Mbili shared that he met Kairo at Kibera Law Courts on Thursday, April 3, where Kairo asked for help.
2Mbili reassured well-wishers that Kairo is in good physical and mental health and thanked everyone willing to lend a hand.
Kairo’s legal issues started earlier this year when he was charged with several counts of fraud. He is accused of taking payments from clients for vehicles that were never delivered.
