Alex Chamwada, the founder of Chams Media and a well-known Kenyan journalist, is celebrating the graduation of his former security guard, Bwabi Isaya, from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC).

Chamwada praised Isaya’s fortitude in a social media post on Thursday, December 14, reminding his followers that Isaya was initially his security guard at Chams Media.

Despite his initial job, Isaya became interested in Chamwada’s journalistic work and eventually moved behind the camera.

Chamwada was instrumental in mentoring Isaya, supporting him through studying journalism at KIMC.

“I am delighted that one of my mentees, Bwabi Isaya, is among those receiving certificates today at the 3rd graduation ceremony of Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) Eldoret campus.”

The ceremony, which was attended by ICT CS Eliud Owalo, celebrated Bwabi Isaya, a security guard from Nairobi’s Bungoma County who transformed into a journalist with the help of Chams Media.

The skilled videographer, who is now a vital member of the Chams Media team, thanked Chamwada for his guidance and shared photos from his graduation ceremony.

Isaya commended Chamwada with introducing him to the field of photojournalism and thanked everyone who helped him advance in his work.

“Many thanks to Alex Chamwada and everyone who has helped me discover and grow as a photojournalist.”

“I thank God for His grace and favour in transforming my life to this level, with special thanks to Chams Media’s CEO.” “I’m grateful,” Isaya said.

Surprisingly, Isaya is traversing the world with Chamwada to tell untold stories through their work at Chams Media.
