WhatsApp is a popular messaging app that is used by millions of people around the world. However, its popularity also makes it a target for scammers.

Recently, a new scam has been circulating on WhatsApp that promises users a new “Pink WhatsApp” app with extra features.

The scam works by sending users a link to download the “Pink WhatsApp” app. However, the link is a phishing link that, when clicked, will install malware on the user’s phone.

This malware can then steal sensitive information from the user’s phone, such as their contact information, passwords, or credit card numbers.

WhatsApp authorities have issued a warning about this scam, and they are urging people not to click on the link or download the “Pink WhatsApp” app. They have also said that the scam is not uncommon and that scammers often use different tactics to lure people into clicking on malicious links.

According to them, if you receive a message from someone about “Pink WhatsApp,” you should not click on the link or download the app. Instead, simply delete the message. You can also report the message to WhatsApp by going to the app’s settings and selecting “Report.”

Apart from the Pink WhatsApp scam, other common WhatsApp scams include the “Official Verification” scam. Which involves scammers sending messages to users claiming that their WhatsApp account has been “unofficially verified” and that they need to click on a link to verify their account.

However, the link is a phishing link that, when clicked, will install malware on the user’s phone.

There is also the “Free Gift Card” scam, which involves scammers sending messages to users claiming that they have won a gift card.

However, the message will contain a link that, when clicked, will take the user to a fake website that looks like a legitimate gift card redemption website. Once the user enters their personal information on the fake website, the scammers will steal their information.
