A tour of DP Ruto’s land in Sugoi, which he purchased after selling chickens to truck drivers, now making millions of shillings from mixed farming

Hustler Ruto, the incoming president of Kenya, travelled a long distance before entering politics. From having nothing, to now having something.

Deputy President Ruto once sold chickens to truckers on the Ugandan route between Eldoret during his early years.

From his little earnings, he managed to accumulate money and buy a piece of farm in Sugoi, Uasin gishu county. Approximately 10 kilometres from his family’s residence.

He was successful in converting the flat ground into a farm by planting 100,000 trees.

As time moved, he added another supply of bananas to the same plot of land after raising some funds.

From the banana sales to support his chicken business, he was able to purchase high-grade cows that still provide him with litres of milk everyday.

Deputy President Ruto stated in an interview that he delivers litres of milk to Brookside every day from his high grade cows.

The Chief hustler continues to raise birds on the same plot of land. According to him, his wife Rachel Ruto imported the birds from India.

He earns approximately KES 1.5 million each month from selling meat and eggs from his poultry farm.

On the same plot, he also maintains a maize farm, from which he feeds part of the animals.

He has set aside a piece of the land for beekeeping. A total of 100 beehives have been erected.

DP Ruto earns millions of shillings per month from the farm’s honey exports.
