YY responds to Andrew Kibe’s claims that his son resembles Eddie Butita
Kenyan rib-cracker Oliver Otieno alias YY has maintained his composure despite being a recent victim of Andrew Kibe’s online trolls.
Sometime back, the comedian had posted a video of his son playing with Eddie Butita’s phone which broke in the process. It generated a heated conversation between the two comedians on who should cover the cost of repairing the phone. Eddie Butita argued that YY should pay it since it was his daughter that damaged the phone while YY maintained that Butita should pay because he is the one that gave out the phone.
However, for Andrew Kibe, there was an opportunity to target Kenyan celebrities with his never-ending internet trolls. He posted the video on his social media channel and commented that YY’s daughter remarkably resembled Eddie Butita.
“Looks like YY comedian amechezwa na boot eater (Butita),” he quoted.
This generated an online buzz with a section of social media users supporting Kibe and pressurizing YY to take a DNA test. The comedian however dismissed Kibe’s claims, adding that he was a digital creator looking for content.
“We cannot be mad and triggered by jokes. Kibe is doing what he knows best which is to entertain. Even in my jokes, I offend others and make others laugh. Let’s enjoy ourselves and move on. Kibe anafanya tu kazi yake,” he wrote.
