Yoweri Museveni, the President of Uganda, took to social media to celebrate his wife Janet Museveni as she turned 75 years old on June 24th.
In a heartfelt post, President Museveni thanked his wife for her support during his battle with COVID-19 and shared additional good news of her milestone birthday.
Janet Museveni, affectionately known as Ginga by her grandchildren, was born on June 24th, 1948, in Bwongyera when her father served as a Gombolola chief. President Museveni congratulated her on reaching this significant age and expressed his admiration for her remarkable qualities.
During the period from 1974 to 1986, Janet Museveni supported her frequently absent husband in raising their family.

President Museveni also shared that while the family was in Sweden from 1983 to 1986, Janet Museveni actively participated in the NRM branch there, showcasing her commitment to the political movement.
Noting that Ugandans are well aware of Janet Museveni’s contributions to the country since 1986, President Museveni expressed his gratitude to the Lord for protecting and prospering her throughout her life.
