Wanyama hoping to be united with Lionel Messi

Former Tottenham and Kenya captain Victor Wanyama has expressed his desire to unite with Lionel Messi in the Major League Soccer (MLS). Wanyama, who currently plays for CF Montreal in the MLS, has regularly faced former Premier League opponents such as Christian Benteke and Javier Hernandez, as well as African stars like Ghana’s Jonathan Mensah and Sierra Leone’s Kai Kamara.

However, Wanyama would like to see the Argentine superstar, who is constantly linked with a move to MLS, in action once again. He previously faced Messi while playing for Spurs in the UEFA Champions League and described it as a great battle.

Wanyama believes that Messi’s arrival in MLS would add great value to the league and make it more competitive. “It would be nice to see Lionel Messi in MLS, of course,” Wanyama said. “He is world class – out of this world really – and he would add great value to MLS.”

Wanyama has been playing in the MLS since 2020 and has adapted well to the league. He has been an important player for CF Montreal and is highly respected by his teammates and fans. Messi, on the other hand, has yet to make a move to MLS but has been linked with several clubs, including Inter Miami and New York City FC.

If Messi does decide to move to MLS in the future, it would be interesting to see him play against Wanyama once again. Both players have a wealth of experience and have faced some of the best teams and players in the world. The addition of Messi to MLS would undoubtedly make the league even more exciting and competitive, and Wanyama is just one of many players who would love to see him play in North America.
