Messi Chants Highlight of the Evening as Benzema Hattrick Sealed Comeback to Book Madrid Copa Del Rey Final Ticket.

Barcelona loss in the return leg of the Copa Del Rey semifinal but it was the Messi chants from the home fans that were the highlight of the evening.

Vinicius Junior scored at the stroke of halftime against the run of play to put the visitors ahead and the tie level on aggregate.

Two quick-fire goals from Benzema in the 50th and 58th minute put Madrid in a comfortable lead leaving Barcelona with a mountain to climb. The French talisman would complete his hat trick in the 80th minute putting the match out of reach for the home side.

However, Madrid’s huge victory was overshadowed by enthusiastic Messi chants from the 10th minute to the entirety of the game.

Many publications shared the video of the chants with renowned journalists too such as Fabrizio Romano sharing the clip on his social media handles.

The chants, which started in the 10th minute came a few hours after the club’s director, Mateu Alemany hinted that the club would seek to resign Messi citing that each party had a part to play in making the deal a success.

“We do our thing, Messi does his thing. Messi is in Paris, but in the future you never know.”Alemany reiterated.

Moreover, Barcelona’s Vice President, Rafa Yuste hinted that they were in negotiations with Messi.

“No one can question the love that he receives here in Barcelona. He’s the best in history,” said Yuste.

This comes at a time when there’s unrest at PSG, Messi’s parent club, over poor results. Messi has been under fire from the Paris outfit fans and has been booed multiple times due to the club’s poor performance.

Reports claim that Messi will not be renewing his contract at the club and Barcelona isn’t the only club interested in his services.

According to multiple publications, Al Hilal have offered Messi a bumper contract that will see him earn £350million-a-year if he put pen to paper.

It will also see him rekindle his old rivalry with former Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo who plays for Al-Nassr, Al Hilal’s direct rivals.

It is almost certain that Messi will leave PSG in the summer and Barcelona fans are desperate for his return.

The ball is now in his court as Barcelona faithfuls have never lost love for a player that entertained them for about two decades.
