Who is Hussein Mohamed?

Hussein, a 40-year-old media personality, was born in Meru. His interest in journalism started in high school. He started to enjoy Swahili presentations, which led to him being the chair of the journalism club.

From high school, he joined Zetech College to continue his passion of becoming a journalist.

Later, he enrolled at the University of Nairobi to pursue a master’s degree, and graduated in 2019.

After failing his initial interview at Radio Umoja, he landed a job at K24, which gave him a breakthrough to Royal Media Services. He worked at the station for ten years earning a salary of KES one million.

Why did he quit Royal media services?

In 2019, the seasoned news anchor left Citizen Television after 10 years of service.

As a man who stands by his words and media ethics, penned down an emotional message to his employees. Mentioning critics of his political stance for the BBI . His resignation was announced following his final interview with Kipchumba Murkomen and John Mbadi.

It was in January 2022, when Hussein was appointed as the head of communication on president Ruto’s campaign team. From his close relationship with Hustler Ruto.
