Mackenzie issues cryptic warning
Controversial Kilifi pastor Paul Mackenzie has been dominating the news after he was considered the person of interest in the deaths of tens of people in Shakahola.
The preacher has found himself on the wrong side of the law and on the receiving end after detectives uncovered his cult in which tens of people had perished from starvation on the promise that they will meet Jesus.
After this frightening incident, Mackenzie was detained, but astonishingly, the man of God shared a cryptic message.
In a video shared on Twitter by Omwamba, Mackenzie is seen issuing a warning while in a police car shortly after his arrest. As seen in the clip, Mackenzie cautioned the officers and everyone gathered around the police car not to investigate the situation because it will come back to haunt them.
“Mnachopigana nacho hamkijui na kitawaramba, kitawaramba nawaambia (You don’t know what you are fighting with, it will haunt you I tell you),” he said.

In other news, elsewhere, details about how a Kenyan woman quit her successful career in Qatar to return to Kenya to join Mackenzie’s cult have emerged.
Betty Ajenta Charles is thought to have only joined the cult a few weeks after her nine-year-old son passed away there. Before joining the cult, she called her friend, and when they met, she gave her a necklace with the name of her late son.
Her childhood friend recounted their last meal on April 8 after Betty Ajenta arrived in Malindi and requested to meet her.
“She was not in her right mood, though. We had a meal together, and she gave me a gift, but her father joined us before she could tell us why she wanted us to meet,” the friend said.
The friend said the air hostess has been her family’s breadwinner, and her colleagues from Qatar have been trying to inquire about her whereabouts. The woman believes the air hostess is still alive.
