Kamene Goro on why she left  the radio

Kamene Goro recently made headlines when she announced her permanent departure from her Kiss 100 radio show. She made it clear in her statement, that she was leaving not out of ill intent or spite, but because offeeling it was time for her to explore other possibilities.

Goro has been a Kiss 100 regular for the past five years. And during that time she has been a strong advocate for women and an advocate for African culture. The presence of Kamene was felt in the radio industry in both Kenya and beyond.

Goro made it clear in her announcement that her decision to resign was not an easy one. She explained that she had been thinking about it for a while. And that she needed to take some time to consider her future. As well as what she wanted to do with her life.

Goro also mentioned the importance of taking time to pursue other opportunities and interests, such as writing and speaking. She wants to use her platform to empower and inspire people. Which she is unable to do while still working at Kiss 100.

Goro’s departure from Kiss 100 is a huge blow to Kenya’s radio industry. Her voice was one of the industry’s few female voices, and her presence will be sorely missed.
