Justina Wamae accuses central Kenya for selling themselves out

ROOTS Party of Kenya Presidential candidate Prof George Wajackoyah and his running mate Justina Wambui Wamae.

Justina Wamae, the 2022 Presidential Running Mate for the Roots party, has recently made some controversial comments regarding the Kikuyu community’s role in the government.

In a recent speech, Wamae criticized her fellow Kikuyus for not having enough representation in the government and for allegedly selling themselves out during the election campaign.

Justina Wamae on Harambee monies

Wamae specifically pointed out the issue of harambee monies and campaign funding, which she claimed was eaten on the ground instead of being put to good use. She also questioned the percentage of salaries that Kikuyus in high-ranking government positions receive on a monthly basis.

Wamae went on to criticize Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s position, referring to it as a “makanga” or a bus conductor, and suggested that if the position was more significant, William Ruto would not be blaming the handshake for his lack of progress.

In terms of the future, Wamae called for a review of boundaries and the implementation of the “1 Man 1 Vote 1 Shilling” policy. She warned that if the Kikuyu community does not start taking action, they will continue to be left behind while others benefit.

Wamae sparks debate

Wamae’s comments have sparked a lot of debate and controversy within the Kikuyu community and beyond. Some have praised her for speaking out on important issues, while others have criticized her for attacking her own people.

It remains to be seen how Wamae’s comments will affect her political career, but it is clear that she is not afraid to speak her mind and challenge the status quo.
