Detectives based in Juja have launched a search for a suspect following a robbery incident that took place Friday evening.

The suspect, whose image has been released by the police, is believed to be part of a five-man gang involved in the crime. The gang, including three individuals dressed as police officers, intercepted a vehicle carrying a Chinese couple and made off with Sh4 million.

Detectives reveal details

The targeted couple had withdrawn the cash from a bank in Chiromo, Nairobi, and were en route to their quarry business in Kiahuria, Juja. However, while driving along Bob Haris road, their vehicle was suddenly intercepted by a white Toyota Axio with registration number KDD 189P. The five thugs swiftly emerged from the car and forcefully gained access to the victims’ vehicle, snatching the cash before making their escape.
