In a significant breakthrough, law enforcement authorities led by detectives from DCI have apprehended a suspect believed to be involved in a series of violent robberies across multiple counties in Kenya.

The suspect, identified as Ezekiel Kiarie, had been on the run for several days but was finally captured by diligent detectives along Limuru Road. Astonishingly, Kiarie was attempting to escape with his family to their rural home in Dundori, Nyandarua County, when the authorities intercepted their vehicle.

Detectives discover

The detectives, who had been closing in on the suspect, discovered the presence of Kiarie, his family members, and their belongings in a Mitsubishi Canter bearing the registration number KAM 231J.

A thorough search of the vehicle yielded even more troubling evidence. Two firearms, a Czeska pistol with the serial number B022944, accompanied by a magazine loaded with two rounds of 9mm ammunition, and a CZ P-07 pistol with the serial number C626319, equipped with a magazine holding twelve rounds of 9mm calibre, were discovered and promptly secured.

Further investigations have revealed that these firearms have been linked to a series of incidents involving victims who lost money shortly after conducting transactions in various banks.

The recovery of these weapons represents a significant step towards unravelling the mysteries behind these robberies and bringing justice to the affected individuals.

Detectives interrogation

Presently, two suspects, namely David Mwangi, also known as Mzae, and Ezekiel Kiarie Njoki, are in police custody, undergoing thorough interrogation in connection with their alleged crimes. The authorities are diligently gathering evidence to ensure a strong case before their arraignment in court, which is scheduled for tomorrow.
