Lioness Squad to Face Zambia Named

Head Coach Dennis Mwanja has named the Lionesses squad that takes on Zambia in their Rugby Africa Women’s Cup Pool B fixture at Kampala’s Wankulukulu Stadium on Saturday 29 October 2022.

Captain Peruz Muyuka starts at lock, parterning Bernadette Olesia with Evelyne Kalemera, Staycy Atieno and Stephanie Waithera completing the front row. Naomi Amuguni, debutante Phoebe Akinyi and Leah Wambui feature in the back row.

Judith Okumu and Grace Adhiambo form the Lionesses half back pairing with Laurine Akoth and Maureen Muritu linking up in midfield as Christabel Lindo, Stellah Wafula and Ann Goretti complete the back three.

Natasha Emali is in line for a potential debut off the bench. The rest of the Lionesses replacements are Knight Otwoma, Rose Otieno, Winnie Owino, Diana Kemunto, Terry Ayesa, Prisca Nyerere and Jean Bisela.
