Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has come out gun blazing and warned MCAs who are expecting her to soothe them. This comes after Meru County Assembly members staged protest and left her before Wednesday’s mayhem broke out. Kawira claimed they were under the spell of demons.
Following a successful campaign with her spouse Murega Baicu, Governor Mwangaza was chosen as an independent candidate.
A majority of elected officials pledged to work together for the welfare of the people at her inauguration in August, giving her governorship a strong start.
She was willing to answer questions and made it plain that she didn’t require any favours from MCAs.
“I’ll let the assembly work at its own pace. I’m prepared for their supervision and will collaborate with them on the ground level. I should be able to accelerate my growth with the MCAs “She stated.
However, problems began before the MCAs were sworn in when Governor Mwangaza claimed that Senators Kathuri Murungi and Mithika Linturi had demanded a portion of her government.
