National carrier Kenya Airways has announced the death of a passenger in a Mombasa-bound flight, news that has left many Kenyans asking tough questions.
KQ announced that a passenger developed breathing problems this evening while boarding a KQ flight which was scheduled to depart the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 1900hrs.
‘The passenger was pronounced dead by medical personnel at JKIA while the aircraft was still on the ground,’ read part of the statement.
This is the third time in less than two months that KQ have made the tragic announcement.
Kenya Airways announced that a passenger had died on a flight to New York on August 22, and reported that a similar incident occured just a week after on the same route.
This latest incident has left many Kenyans asking tough questions if the comments under the post published by KQ are anything to go by.
Sample comments:
‘Nyinyi ni illumimati, these deaths are just too many.’
‘Now KQ are sacrificing passengers wueh.’
“Why only KQ? Are you people sacrificing people? This is the 3rd death in 3 weeks.”
‘Aii something is wrong with your airplanes, it needs cleansing. Plus service.’
‘Wooi whats going on, maybe you need cabin crew doctor on board on every flight, anyway hata ndege sijapata maybe siwezi understand but I hope this will end the deaths.’
‘Hio ndege yenu mna uhakika haijatoboka pahali na huko chini iwe alivuta baridi nyinyi 🤔 this is republic of Kenya.’
