Tusker FC defender Daniel Sakari is dreaming big after winning his first league title with the club a week ago.

The 25 year old right back says he is greatful to be a league champion for the first time in his professional career and he is working hard to keep winning great achievements such as playing abroad with his dream being to once play in the Spanish top tier, La Liga Santander despite admiring to turn out for African giants Raja Athletic Club in Morocco and Mamelodi Sundowns FC in South Africa. He says that what he just wants to is one day to ply trade in Spain or Italy and help his backyard.

Speaking about his maiden stay with The Brewer’s and guiding the team to defend the league title, the Kenyan international says he is happy to have bagged his league title in his soccer career.

“I’m happy to have won the Kenyan Premier League title for the first time in my career, considering it’s my first year at Tusker as I moved in from Kariobangi Sharks at the start of the season, I’m really greatful and hope next season I’ll do the same. It’s the dream of every player in any league to be a champion at the end of the campaign and for me I’m over the moon”, Sakari told KenyanTrend.

When asked how the season was, The pure mathematics and statistics graduate of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) revealed that it was a fabulous with lots of expirience to his career.

“The season was one of my best, I was in a new environment with new teammates and coaches, I adapted quickly to the system and went on as usual. It was also a learning experience as I got to feature in another top platform such as the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup where I met different caliber of players and picked up some positive notes from them which I’m using to develop myself as I purpose to emulate them”, added Sakari.

Daniel Sakari is among the talented athletes in Kenya who tried to switch their career and ended up making ends meet with it. He narrates that he played rugby while in high school and featured up to the East and Central Africa finals with Maseno School in 2014 before finding passion with soccer in 2016 while at MMUST.

The former Kakamega Homeboyz FC since switching to Tusker FC last year from Kariobangi Sharks FC, He has managed at total of 32 appearances with the Ruaraka based outfit, 25 appearances coming from the FKFPL the rest from CAF assignments and exhibition matches.

He is capped 12 times with the Kenya national men’s football team “Harambee Stars” since December 2019.
