Intelligence Reports Leads Security Officers to a Man In Possession of Sophisticated Weapons

 

Officers from the National Police Service conducted an operation on Sunday, 19, June, 2022 following an intelligence report concerning one man identified as Abraham Kiptum from Kaben village, Kaben location in Tot division in Elgeiyo Marakwet East Sub-county.

 

 

 

 

After conducting a through search in his home, the officers managed to recover the following items; 76 rounds of ammunition, 7 empty magazines of AK 47, 4 empty magazines of G3 rifle, one AK 47 pouch and one side pouch.

 

Other items that were recovered include two angola shirts, one jungle green Lanyard, banned industrial chemicals namely Furon 5GR, one APS member of inspectorate pullover, one green jungle trouser, 43 arrows, 7 bows, 3 quivers and assorted personal items.

 

The security officials nabbed Abraham Kiptum and Brandon Kilimo and escorted them together with their recovered items to Tot police station awaiting further necessary police actions.

 

 

The National Police Service has lauded the members of the public for being vigilant and passing information to the security agencies. Therefore, they have urged them to continue cooperating with security officers in the spirit of community policing in order to bring peace in the region.
