National Super League outfit Mara Sugar FC have appointed former Kenya international striker John Baraza as the new head coach replacing Steve Biko who left the Trans Mara based team has few months ago.
Baraza, a former Sofapaka FC tactician joins the sugar millers on an undisclosed period from FKF Division One side, Equity Bank FC, a place he has been trading as a trainer since December 2020 when he parted ways with his favorite place, Sofapaka FC.
John Baraza head coach role will be deputized by Godfrey Naibei who has been serving as the interim coach since the departure of Steve Biko.
Naibei was part of the technical bench that guided the team to the Kenya’s second tier league after winning the FKF Division One Zone A league at the end of last year.
Mara Sugar FC is currently placed at position 12 with 29 points reaped from 26 outings and they play their home matches at Awendo Green Stadium in Migori.
