What Can Alikiba’s Sentiments Mean to You?
Ali Saleh Kiba, better known by his stage name Ali Kiba, is facing backlash after making provocative statements on romantic relationships. The 35-year-old said in an interview that love can be dull at times and that it may not survive without falsehoods.
He said, “Bila uongo pia mapenzi hayaendi vizuri.”
The father of four confessed that in his artistic career, he has never created or delivered a song as full of falsehoods as Miami, which he co-wrote with Hamadai.
“Sijawahi kuimba wimbo wenye uongo mwingi kama huu aisee. That’s why nilimuomba Hamadai tufanye hii kwa sababu namkubali sana na wimbo ni mzuri sana, pia Producer Aloneym katisha sana…” he said.

His words came only 4 months after his wife, Amina Khalef, filed for divorce in a Mombasa Kadhi court. According to sources, King Kiba was given 15 days from February 10 to reply to the lawsuit, after which the matter will be heard without him.
The court papers stated, “Should you fail to appear within the period provided above, the plaintiff may proceed with the matter and judgment rendered in your absence.”
Amina accused the singer of disrespecting their marriage by openly exhibiting admiration for other women and so creating an unfavorable environment for her in the divorce filing.
The court filings said at the time that “the respondent [Kiba] has created a mockery of their marriage by disrespectfully indulging in public displays of adultery with other women in absolute disregard of the petitioner’s sentiments.”
However, based on social media posts, it’s reasonable to assume that the dust has settled and the two are back together. The Utu singer recently used social media to wish Amina a happy birthday, referring to her as his gorgeous wife.
“Happy birthday to my wonderful wife,” Kiba wrote, implying that the couple did not go through with the divorce.
Lack of Empathy
Ali Kiba, on the other hand, has stated that it disturbs his wife when he gets tactile with other ladies in his line of work.
“She is aware that this is my art, yet she is compelled to respond because love is present. She expresses her fears, but she understands that I must do it, that I must touch other women. She realizes that it’s a profession and that I can’t go too far with the touching; I can’t let myself go as freely as I could before (being married) “Kiba said.
