After mayhem rocked the Azimio camp on Saturday during a rally in Embakasi Nairobi county, ODM leader Raila Odinga may have a huge challenge in unifying all parties and leaders under the Azimio la Umoja movement.
It all began when Richard Ngatia, a Jubilee party candidate for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat, and his supporters disrupted the Embakasi event, seeking an audience to speak to the throng.
“Mimi ndio Richard Ngatia ambae anapigani kiti cha Ugavana hapa Nairobi.”stated Ngatia before the microphone was snatched away from him
This came after Ngatia’s side believed that ODM was preferring ODM’s Tim Wanyonyi over Jubilee’s Fred Ngatia.
“Naomba ndugu yangu Ngatia atulize security yake wanatusumbua hapa, sisi tuko na mkutano ya amani” stated Wanyonyi before he was cut short by the rowdy Ngatia’s supporters.
As supporters from both sides engaged in kicks and strikes, Ngatia scampered away from the stage.
As the situation became increasingly tense, Ngatia was forced to leave the venue, leaving Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi and his colleagues on stage.
