Elijah Githinji has been trying unsuccessfully for more than five years to acquire funds to pay his University dues after being dropped due to non-payment of tuition.
Mr Githinji, now 27 years old, is on the verge of despair as his hopes of becoming a lawyer fade away.
Despite his soaring spark, the Alliance High School alumnus who scored an amazing grade of an A minus has been surviving on hard menial labor.
He completed his KCPE in 2010 and joined Alliance in 2011 staying up until 2014.
He enrolled at Strathmore in 2015 but was only able to complete one year of studies before being dropped.
“I got admission at Strathmore University but I just managed to complete my first academic year only, before being shown the door for lack of fees,” He told the Nation.
He claims he didn’t apply for Higher Education Loans Board facility because he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to repay the loan, and that some of his family members tried to talk him out of it.
