Singer and Songwriter Bakri introduced by longtime girlfriend

The 18 and Over singer and Team No Sleep (TNS) musician camp Bakri Matovu commonly known as Bakri has been introduced by longtime girlfriend Idah.

Idah introduced the former musician to her parents in a cultural Kukyala ceremony at an unknown location.
The two have rumoured to have been together for over five years.

Their introduction ceremony was attended to by only close friends and family with a few invited guests.

The event was characterised with glamour, emotions and tears of joy as the two were marking this milestone. During the event, the two hinted on a point of walking down the aisle soon.

The two are yet to announce their marital dates but we hope when they do so, we will keep you in the know.

Years back, Bakri reportedly quit music because of reasons better known to him but allegations pointed out his failure to make it big in the music industry after one hit song.

Bakri topped charts in 2013 when he released the 18 and over song which even earned him a nomination as the breakthrough artist of the year in the Hipipo Music Awards of 2013.

While he was still topping charts, he joined the late AK 47 under Jeff Kiwanuka’s Team No Sleep [TNS] and together they both released songs like Gwe Waliwo and Tondabisa but his stay in the [TNS] camp was short lived and he quit for a solo career which also didn’t work well.

Few years back Bakri came out in an interview and said he gave music a break for a new career in fashion and design and he is now rumoured to be a tailor with a shop within Kampala City.
